Charles J. Distel, 95, formerly of 47 Walker St., died at 7:52 p.m. Monday, June 1, 1987, in St, Francis home, where he had resided for 17 years. He was born April 16, 1892, in Ottoville, to the late Jacob and Elizabeth (Frieburg) Distel. on Sept. 2, 1919, he married Bertha Kuhn in St. Joseph Catholic Church. SHe preceded him in death in 1963. He has two Daughters, Mrs. Emmanuel(Mary lou) Brickner of Tiffin and Mrs. Robert (Marjorie A.) De Ran of Toledo; two sons, Thomas L. of Tiffin and Donald J. of Marion; 21 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren. Mr. Ditel retired in 1957 as a machinist for National Machinery. He was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church and an Army Veteran of World War 1.
