Iona's parents Alba Foster and Elizabeth Foster are also buried in Riverside Cemetery. I was never able to find headstones for them. Many of the headstones were unreadable in the areas where they were buried. They both died of Tuberculosis or consumption as they called it back then. Iona was orphaned by the time she was 10. Her paternal grandmother took her in for a time. Iona's sister, my grandmother, was sent to an orphanage.
