Sara Claire Bobo, 83, was born May 15, 1930, in Rockwall, TX, and passed away peacefully on June 25, 2013. She lived in Rockwall, Tyler, Wichita Falls, San Angelo, Quanah, Dallas, Henderson and finally settling down in Longview for the last 43 years. She worked at various jobs early in her career, of which her last included being secretary at Foster Middle School.

Sara loved playing most any kind of game, and she could be an avid competitor. She was part of several bridge groups and a mahjong group as well. Her last year, she missed those groups very much. She always enjoyed playing any game with family and continued that with daughter-in-law, Barbara, up until the last 2 weeks.

Sara was a member at First United Methodist Church for many years, but the last few was spent as a member of Winterfield United Methodist Church.

Sara married Keith (Bo) in June, 1950, who she loved so much and was faithful to the very end. She was preceded in death by Keith (Bo) in 1995; her parents, Clyde and Haskell White; her brother, Bob White; and granddaughter, Celeste Blalock.

She is survived by her sister, Bettye Davenport, son, Keith and wife Barbara, son, Jerry, and daughter, Susan and husband Byron Blalock. Sara has 9 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Thursday, June 27, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Rader Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 28, 2013 at 10am in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview with Reverend Richard Laster and Pastor Danny Loeffelholz officiating. Burial will follow in Rosewood Park.

The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the staff and nurses at Beacon Hospice.
