George attended St. Paul's Parochial School in Mechanicville, graduating in the class of 1955.
In 1959 he completed his secondary education, graduating with a Regents Diploma from Mechanicville High School.
Upon completing his Sophomore year at Siena College, George transfered to the University of Buffalo graduating from there in 1966 with a Batchelor of Science degree in Biology.
Following graduation, he taught science for several years at Wilbur Lynch High School, Amsterdam, NY, attaining tenured teacher status.
On July 22, 1972, George married the love of his life, Anne Rose Cononica, at the Church of the Assumption in Mechanicville.
Then, realizing that his professional calling was to be a dentist he returned to the University of Buffalo, graduating from there in 1976 with the degree of Doctor of Dentistry.
Shortly after graduation Dr. George established a very busy and popular dental practice at 310 Park Avenue, Mechanicville, which continued until his passing on December 14th, 2012 A.D. .
Anne bore George seven children: Sara (Amann) Garrand (Mat); Jennifer (Amann) Malone ( Dr. Will); Dr. Kristen (Amann) Caufield, MD (Dr. Chris); , George, Jr.; Katherine, and John and Emily, all of whom survive.
His grandchildren are: Brandon , Logan and Hyde Garrand, and Sean and Erin Malone.
