LEVI WELLINGTON IS DEAD
Resident of Jamestown for 50 Years Passed Away at His Home Early Monday Evening
Levi Wellington, a veteran of the Civil war and a resident of Jamestown for 50 years died at 6:30 o'clock Monday evening at his home, 823 Washington street, aged 78 years, two months and six days. Mr. Wellington conducted a blacksmithing establishment in this city for many years and prior to coming to Jamestown lived at Worcester, Mass. During the Civil war he served with the Fourth Massachusetts cavalry. He was a member of James M. Brown post, G.A.R., of this city, and of the First Congregational church.
He is survived by his wife, Ellen Viola Lord Wellington; one daughter, Mrs. F. W. Fairbank; one brother-in-law, C. W. Lord; and a granddaughter, Agnes Lucille Fairbank, all of this city.
The funeral will be held from the home Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock.
