Vivian L. Goins, age 73, of Beaver City, Nebraska died Sunday, February 13, 2005 at Phelps Memorial Hospital at Holdrege, Nebraska. She was born August 28, 1931 at Wilsonville, Nebraska to Virtus & Joycie (Vise) Helton.
The family moved to a farm south of Beaver City in 1935 and moved into the town of Beaver City in 1937. She graduated from Beaver City High School with the class of 1948. She married Veryl E. Harding in 1949 in New Mexico and they returned to make their home in Beaver City, he died Sept 13, 1965. She married James Goins on September 23, 1967 at North Platte, Nebraska. Jim died January 26, 1998. Vivian had worked at the ASCS office in Beaver City for 42 years retiring in 1992. She spent a short time in Norton, Kansas and returned to Beaver City Assisted Living 2 months ago. She had attended the First Presbyterian Church at Beaver City, Nebraska.
Preceded in death by parents, both husbands, infant brother Virtus and sister Bonnie Strickland.
Survivors include: Son; Bradley and wife Cristy Harding of Norton, Kansas, 2 Sisters: Belva Aspedon of Beaver City, Nebraska Lila & husband Don Adams of Arapahoe, Nebraska 3 Grandsons: J. B., Jeremy, and Jonathan
Viewing and visitation will be Monday, February 14, 2005, noon until 8 PM and Tuesday, 9 AM until 8 PM at Wenburg Funeral Home in Beaver City, Nebraska and prior to services Wednesday at the Church. Condolences or personal reflections can be left at www.wenburgfuneralhome.com.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 16, 2005 at 1:30 PM at First Presbyterian Church at Beaver City, Nebraska with Keith Theobald, officiating. Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery at Beaver City, Nebraska.
