"St. Clair is mourning the sudden death of Miss Mary Ann Munro, (Tottie), second daughter of the late Mr George Munro. Yesterday morning she was about as usual, apparently in ordinary health, bustling through her customary tasks with characteristic cheerfulness, Presently she had occasion to go out into the garden, and a minute or so afterwards was found there in a fit. Dr Batchelor, called in from his private hospital, close by, was unable to do anything to save the patient from the sudden and fierce epileptic attack, and she passed away in about two hours. Miss Munro was a most active worker in the furtherance of every good cause in the district, and her untimely death is sincerely deplored." [Evening Star, Issue 11302, 25 July 1900, Page 4 ]
