He was a native of Largo, Fla., son of Hugh Joshua and Annie Jones Dillingham, husband of Elizabeth Hollifield Dillingham, former mayor of Patterson Springs, Army veteran, retired service manager from Porter Brothers, member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, where he was a deacon, Sunday school superintendent and on numerous church committees
