Faye Clyburn passed away Saturday, June 14, 2014, at the age of 83.

She was born Nov. 17, 1930, at Caraway, Arkansas, to Lee and Ruby Waldon Thomas.
Faye was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gene A. Clyburn; four brothers, Hubert, Cleamon, Claudie and Leamon; and a great-grandchild, Taylor Olack.

She is survived by her daughters, Carol Kendall of San Antonio and Judy Underwood and her husband Travis of Haltom City, Texas; sons, Ronnie Bailey of San Antonio and Terry Bailey and his wife Jo of Mansfield, Texas; brother, Houston Thomas and his wife Georgia of Black Oak; sister, Connie Thomas of San Antonio; grandchildren, Michael Kendall and his wife Kelley, Christopher Olack and his wife Brenda and Ronda Baker and her husband Gary; and four great-grandchildren.

Faye retired in 1999 after teaching for over 35 years in Germany, El Paso, Texas and San Antonio. She loved children, animals, gardening, sewing, arts and crafts and seeing anything grow. She was dynamic and energetic; everyone knew her as "Nana."

Funeral services were at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home in Jonesboro. Interment was in Potters Cemetery at Lepanto.
