OBITUARY: Lorraine M. Novak, 1938 ~ 2015 - reprinted in the October 28, 2015 St. Cloud Times

Foley - Lorraine Marie Novak, age 77, passed away Monday, October 26, 2015 at the St. Cloud Hospital surrounded by family.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 30, 2015 at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Gilman, with visitation 1 hour before service. Father Leo Moenkedick will be officiating. A visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, October 29, 2015 at the church.

Lorraine Novak was born May 5, 1938 to August and Julia (Podlasek) Dobos. She married LeRoy Novak on September 16, 1957 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Opole, MN.

She worked at 3M before becoming a wife and mother. After raising her children, she worked in food service at Saint Scholastica Convent, as a food demonstrator at Coborn's and for Novak's Grown Right Vegetables.

Lorraine was an active member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Christian Mother's Rosary Society and served as a Eucharistic Minister.

Lorraine took pride and joy in baking, cooking, and canning. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo and going to the casino with family and friends. She enjoyed lunches with friends and family.

Lorraine is survived by 8 children; Michael, Gregory, Joan (Jack) Paggen, Julie, Lori (Michael) Hennen, Karen, Danny (Jenny), Steven (Tennelle), all of Foley; grandchildren, Jonathan (Lindsey), Jay, Kendra, Tanner, Morgan, Davin, Ethan, Nolan, Olivia, Ava, and Ivy; great grandson, Hank, and sisters-in-law, Ellen Dobos, Sartell and Cecilia Dobos, Inver Grove Heights.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, LeRoy (4-13-2012); brothers, Clarence, Sylvester, Norbert, Joseph and Ben Dobos.

Cremation Services provided by Cremation Society of Minnesota.
