Please join us in celebrating the life of Daniel Shaver. All who knew and loved him are welcome to attend to pay their respects and visit with his wife and children.

The memorial will start promptly at 3:00pm in the Sanctuary, so please arrive at 2:45pm to be seated. After the memorial, a reception will follow in the Social Hall with some of Daniel's favorite foods and refreshments. There will be several things that we hope you will sign in his honor, to pass on to his children.

Daniel would not have wanted anyone to be sad and dressed in black-- please wear whatever you wish. A few ideas that he did like are: Green, Tool/Pearl Jam shirts and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. There will be a open mic session if anyone has anything they wish to share.

In lieu of flowers, we are asking that you bring a handwritten note sharing a memory that you hold with Daniel so we can save them for Natalie and Emery to read when they are older. We encourage you to print a picture of him to place on a table for everyone to view instead of cards.

Most of all, he would just want everyone to be together-- and for his children to feel loved, safe and supported.Daniel “Danny” Leetin Shaver, 26, of Granbury, passed away Jan. 18, 2016.
Memorial for Danny’s family and friends: Nashville, Tennessee, Feb. 3, 2016, from 3-5 p.m. at the First Unitarian Universalist Church of Nashville.

Daniel was born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee. He was born to “Lee” Grady Shaver and “Lynn” Norma Shaver on Dec. 29, 1989.

Daniel filled his life with the love of music and regularly played his bass guitar.

After falling in love at Bonnaroo Music Festival, Daniel and Laney had been inseparable ever since. Shortly following, they were blessed with their first child, Natalie Harper.

They soon relocated closer to Laney’s family in Texas to settle down and start their family. Emery Reese came earthside to complete the family in 2012.

Daniel and Laney enjoyed traveling as a family during their free time. Laney and the girls often accompanied Daniel on his work trips as they enjoyed the new experiences together.

Daniel’s world belonged to his two girls, Natalie (6) and Emery (4). He spent all of his free time when he wasn’t traveling for work, with his girls. Although he is gone, his love for them will remain forever.
