Services for Don Dingus, 67, of Lamesa will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Dennis Teeters and the Rev. Clifton Igo officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of Branon Funeral Home.
He died Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2000, at his home. He was born July 20, 1932 in Comanche. He married Karen Merrick on May 28, 1957 in Lamesa. He received his master's and bachelor's degree from East Texas State University. He moved to Lamesa in 1964. He was a teacher and a principal in Lamesa schools. He was also an elementary school principal in Smyer for five years. He was a member of Big Spring Ham Radio Club and Dawson County Retired Teacher's Association. He was a deacon at First Baptist Church. He owned and operated Dingus Theatres for nine years and Don's Refrigeration for 20 years.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Donnie of Brownfield and Dennis of Big Spring; a sister, Virginia Clark of Comanche; and a brother, Wayne Phifer of Sidney.
