Ruth R. Ehrets, 91, passed away at home on Wednesday, September 26, 2012. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 64 years Lester "Buck" Ehrets Sr. She is survived by her sons, Lester R. and Carol Ehrets Jr., Gary L. Ehrets, James R. and Mary Ehrets; grandchildren Daniel and Joanne, Jeannette and Michael Napieralla, Steven and Kimberly, Timothy and Vicki, Ben, and James II; eight great grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Paul Roberts, James and Jean Roberts, brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law, Pearl and Charles Jackson, Thelma Ehrets, David and Carol Ehrets, and Lucille Roberts; and many nieces and nephews. Ruth was employed at IBM while "Buck" served in WWII in the US Navy in the South Pacific. She later managed Lady Oris Hosiery Shop in downtown Binghamton and retired from Sears in the customer service and commercial sales departments. She was a member of the Windsor First United Methodist Church. She enjoyed league bowling and loved to engage in games of chance in Atlantic City and at Turning Stone. She has a fantastic sense of humor with an old limerick ready for any occasion. She loved her family and will be dearly missed.
