MOULTRIE, Ga. -- Everlene Chapman Scarborough, 91, of Moultrie, Ga., died Thursday, November 3, 2016 at Pruitt Health-Magnolia Manor in Moultrie, Ga.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, November 6, 2016 at Oak Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Scott Toon officiating.
Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Casketbearers will be Chad Scarborough, Colby Scarborough, Charlie Johnson, Ben Bowen, Jared Sellars and Cory King. The Deacons of Oak Grove Baptist Church will serve as honorary casketbearers.
Born April 14, 1925 in Sale City, Ga., she was the daughter of the late Lonnie C. Chapman and Julie Mae Crosby Chapman.
Mrs. Scarborough retired from Hamilton Elementary School as a paraprofessional educator and was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Ellis Scarborough; and a daughter, Julie Ann Scarborough.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM Saturday, November 5, 2016 at Cobb Funeral Chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to Oak Grove Baptist Church Building Fund, c/o Rodney Taylor, 1826 Bob Taylor Road, Moultrie, Ga. 31768.
