On 29 May 1940, Giovanni Jean C. R. V. Bagarotti, married Marta Dolores Rousseau in Geneva, Switzerland. Giovanni was a world renowned violinist of Italian descent, a subject of Italy. Marta was a pianist, and often his accompanist. Together they would travel the world entertaining many audiences, friends, and family for years to come.

After Marta passed away in 1959, Giovanni would eventually remarry, in 1964, to Mrs. Cornelia Fitch "Dicki" Baekeland Von Hessert Ditisheim, once a divorcee, once a widow, and mother of one son. Dicki is the daughter of Mrs. N. Penrose Hallowell of NY and George Baekeland of Fairfield, CT. She is the granddaughter of the late Dr. Leo Hendrick Baekeland, founder of the Bakelite Corporation.

Giovanni would pass away in 1994. His widow Dicki survives him.
