Early Life: Zachary was born October 2, 1993, in Brigham City, Utah, the son of Jon and Tresa Heaton. He lived the first two years of his life at the Heaton Ranch in Standrod, Utah, before his family settled in the Grandview area of Provo. He grew up surrounded by good friends, neighbors and family. He loved his multitude of cousins, aunts, uncles and grandparents and enjoyed spending time with them. He graduated from Provo High School.
Life's Work | Service | Interests: Zachary attended Brigham Young University before serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was called to Taipei, Taiwan, where he served for one year prior to coming home on medical release. He was reassigned to Riverside, California, where he completed his mission. Subsequently, he attended Brigham Young University, majoring in computer science and worked a short time for TruDigital in Sandy, Utah. Zac had a strong intellect and enjoyed reading, conversation, and contemplation. He loved to serve his family and others. He was kind, non-judgmental, had a keen sense of humor, and a soft heart for those who were struggling. Zachary Layne Heaton, 23, passed away May 23, 2017.

Survived By: His parents; siblings: Tess Koop (Kyson), Savannah, McKay, Lizzy, Joseph, Grace and Elizabeth Frazier (Michael); nieces and nephews: Paisley, Chip, Hazel, Burke, Max, Fox, Lucy, Finn and Jude.
