For grades 1-8 Lorraine attended a one room school house. She graduated with honors from Drury High School in 1949. In 1951, Lorraine married her high school sweetheart, Leo Arthur Moreau, Jr., and they were very happily married for 65 years, until Leo’s death in 2016. Lorraine was also a very dedicated Christian lady, who served at several churches including Trinity United Methodist Church in Conway, SC, for the last fourteen years. For many years she and Leo enjoyed square dancing and bowling. Lorraine was renowned for her outstanding cooking and needlework skills. She had a magic cookie jar that was always full of warm chocolate chip cookies and she lovingly mailed cookie care packages to her children and grandchildren and others during their college years. She also did volunteer work including styling hair at a nursing home in Florence, SC for many years and serving as a volunteer for more than 25 years at Grand Strand Hospital, in Myrtle Beach, SC.
