aa-ANDERS DANBOM- born Mar. 11, 1805 in Sjobo, Vastra Eneby socken,
Ostergotlands lan, Sweden. His parents names were Gustaf Edmundsson
and Lena Andersdaughter. Anders was baptized in 1805 when mother was
22 years old. Witnesses: John Swensson of Rompetorp; Jonas Uddsson
and servant Magnus Samualsson and his wife Elisabeth of Krogsfall;
maids Lena of Rumpertorp and Adela of H. Farstorp.
He moved to Stockholmstropet on Dansbo property in 1806. In 1820
he moved from home to work for an artisan in Eneby. In 1822 he went
back home to his parents, which then were in Palhult; at the same
time he worked as a hired man on the farm Palhult.
In 1824 he became a servant in Dansbo. He was there till 1831 when
he moved to Kattestorp in Kisa socken. On Nov. 13, 1831 he was married
to Anna Christina (called Stina) Monsdaughter, born Oct. 23,
1806 in Tidersrum socken, Ostergotland lan, Sweden. Her father was
Mons Nilsson, born Nov. 3, 1762 and mother was Lena Jonsson, born
Jan. 12, 1782. Stina was a maid at her parents in Kattestorp and was
married in the house in Kattestorp. Here they lived to Mar. 17, 1839,
then they moved to Manhult Fralsgard in Malexander socken where they
farmed.
On Oct. 29, 1848 they moved to Kisa socken and became owners and
farmed the Alekullen under Orsebo. In 1850 they went to live at Orsebo
Norrgard Rusthall number 21. He later owned another farm beside
Orsebo. The name of this farm was Someke in Tidersrum socken; both
farms are in Ostergotland lan, Sweden. It is about 5 U.S. miles
between the two farms.
He rented out Orsebo to his son—in—law and daughter, Carl August
and Christina Mathilda Youngborg, who then were newly married (1871).
They stayed there 6 years, then in 1877 they moved to his other
farm, Someke.
He lived in Orsebo during the time of death, which was on Feb. 10,
1882, at the age of 76 years, 10 months and 28 days.
Anders and Stina Monsdaughter Danbom celebrated their Golden wedding
anniversary on Nov. 13, 1881.
Anders Danbom hired his brother, Tobias, for farm work for two
years (1839-1840) and also Jonas' son, Gustaf, for two years (1845-1846).
Anders Danbom and Anna Christina Monsdaughter had 8 children:
