Susie Mae Fields, age 77, passed away on Saturday, June 23, 2018, in Rising Star, Texas.

She was born on February 4, 1941, in Comanche County, Texas, to Johnny and Annie (Dulan) Cook.
Susie attended Sidney High School where she played basketball and was a cheerleader. Susie loved being a homemaker and taking care of her family. She was an excellent cook and loved to sew. She was her happiest when she was in the kitchen baking or at her sewing corner making dolls and bears and pageant dresses. She had the best pies and the most amazing oatmeal cookies around. Susie attended all of the grandkids functions until her health wouldn’t let her anymore. Susie was a Christian and a longtime member of East Side Baptist Church.

She is survived by her sons, Michael Ray Fields and partner Ira Monroe of Comanche, Tony Dale Fields and partner Donna Forrester of Buffalo Springs; daughters, Tiena Rene Griggs of Buffalo Springs and Shiela Gay Fields of May; twenty-six grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; brother, J.C. Cook and wife Katy of Sidney; sister, Mary Ann Underwood of Rising Star; sisters-in-law, Martha Cook of Rising Star, Carolyn Cook of Stephenville, Doris Hilliard of Comanche; brothers-in-law, Tommy Fields and wife Vicky of Proctor, Paul Fields of Comanche; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnny and Annie Cook; brothers, Jerry Cook and Buddy Cook; and brothers-in-law, Billy Paul Underwood and David Waylan Fields.
