MARION, Va. James Morgan Jones, age 78, passed away on Sunday, February 3, 2019, at his home. Mr. Jones was born in Floyd, Va., to the late John Paul Jones and Aldene Louise Bowers Jones. He was preceded in death by his brothers, William Paul Jones and Frank A Jones. He attended Riverside Baptist Church and retired as a construction superintendent from English Construction Company after many years of service. Mr. Jones was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Survivors include, his wife of 60 years, Carolyn Jones; children, James Morgan "Jimmy" Jones Jr. and wife, Karen, and Paul Edwin "Eddie" Jones and wife, Sharon; grandchildren, Amanda Jones Crigger and special grandson-in-law, Adam, Meagan Jones Owens and husband, Tre, and John Alexander Jones and wife, Erika; great-grandchildren, Abigail Crigger, Aiden Crigger, and Jocelyn Jones; and his special pet and partner, Snowball. Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, February 5, 2019, at the Bradley's Funeral Home in Marion with the Reverend Ed Fisher officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. prior to services. Private interment will be held in Rose Lawn Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.bradleysfh.com.
