Actress. She was best known to both film and television viewers for her character roles during the 1940s and 1950s. Known as Allene Roberts during her acting career, she attended an acting school on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood before being discovered by a casting director. She got her first acting role in the 1947 film "The Red House." She would go on to appear in such films as "The Sign of the Ram" (1948), "Bomba on Panther Island" (1949), "Union Station" (1950), "The Hoodlum" (1951), and "Thunderbirds" (1952). She made her television debut on the television series "Your Show Time" in 1949. Her later television credits would include "Adventures of Superman," "Public Defender," "City Detective," and "Dragnet." During her acting career, she led a very spiritual life and turned down roles that challenged her moral standards. After marriage in the mid 1950s, she retired from acting and returned to her home state of Alabama to raise a family.
