Mrs. Mattice was born September 26, 1935 in Worcester, NY a daughter of Owen and Iva (Kenyon) Mowers.
Following her high school graduation, she began a long career as a Telephone Operator, first with NY Tel in Oneonta and later retiring from AT&T in Schenectady.
She was married to Orson G. Mattice until his passing on February 24, 2004.
Together they enjoyed dancing, playing BINGO and taking care of others.
Survivors include her children; Alberta Cross of Kissimmee, FL, Chris F. Cross (Roberta), and Richard D. Cross both of Central Bridge, her step-children; Tom M. Mattice of Davenport, John C. Mattice of Windham, Scott L. Mattice of Catskill and Orson G. Mattice, Jr. of Stamford, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren along with nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her siblings; William, Charles, Kenneth and Gordon Mowers and Marie Mowers Foote.
A private graveside service will be held at the Fair View Cemetery in Grand Gorge.
