Maria was the 5th of the 6 children of Andres Sosa and Felicita Pena. She Married Jose Lino Martinez on December 14th, 1954. Together they bore 8 children,3 that died as infants. In the 60's she opened a store in front of her own that she operated until the late 90s. She was larger than life and never let failure get in her way. She had a magnificent talent in cooking and greatly cared for her family. In 2002 she moved to Corona, California for a time where she was baptized in 2004 as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints. In Late 2004 she moved back to El Salvador where she became ill after a long battle with type 2 diabetes. She passed away in her home in Mejicanos in the comfort of her own home. She is survived by her children Arturo, Silvia, Blanca, Mario, and Walberto. Maria was a woman that pushed till the very end.
