Charles "Chuck" Fredrick Seeling Jr. was born Oct. 18, 1943, in Vanport to Charles Fredrick Seeling Sr. and Virginia March Bank Seeling. Chuck died at his Tillamook home May 4, 2008, at the age of 64.

Chuck grew up in North Plains. He moved to Tillamook about 40 years ago, and had made Tillamook his home ever since. Chuck was united in marriage to Barbara Thompson April 2, 1994, in Tillamook.

He worked as a truck driver, and he enjoyed woodworking and dirt bike riding. Chuck loved the outdoors. He loved a challenge on the hills of the Trask, and Wilson rivers. He would master them all, and he mastered his diabetes as well.

A celebration of life will be Friday May 9, at 2 p.m. at the Kilchis Grange in Tillamook. Memorial contributions in Charles' name may be made to the American Diabetes Association. Arrangements are in care of Waud's Funeral Home in Tillamook.
