Donna Gail Harold Baker 69 of Bon Air, VA, formerly of Bracey, VA, passed away on the morning of May 7, 2022. She died peacefully after a short illness at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Iven and Maxine Elizabeth Harold; and her brother Thomas Iven Harold, Jr. Donna is survived by her only son, Michael Shannon Mahone (Sarah), 4 grandchildren, Grace, Jack, Luke and Mary; sister Linda Baker; niece Carol Taylor Pippen; great-nephew Justin Pippen; great-niece Hannah Ingraham and partner Danny Hines. Donna was retired from Chesterfield County Water Services where she worked in the lab. She was an avid music fan and played in many different bands singing and playing her guitar over the years. Donna enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, traveling, especially to the beach and loved to collect rocks from her destinations. Her greatest joys were her son and grandchildren. Donna will be missed and cherished by all who loved her. "…Cause I'm as free as a bird now and this bird you cannot change…" Her family will grieve in private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions or donations may be made to the Colorectal Cancer Alliance.
