Nancy Lee (Long) Persolio, age 74, of Selbyville, DE passed away on Sunday, December 13, 2015 at Chesapeake Cottages Assisted Living in Snow Hill, MD.
She was born on March 23, 1941 in Selbyville, DE daughter of the late, Everett and Eva (Gray) Long. She was a 1959 graduate of Selbyville High School. She worked for the United States Postal Service in Selbyville retiring with twenty years of service.
Nancy was a member of Salem United Methodist Church in Selbyville. She enjoyed playing cards with her friends, playing the slot machines, traveling and spending time with her grandkids. She defeated cancer twice as well as a bout with leukemia.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Conrad Persolio; her sister, Rosiene (Long) Stephens; and brother, Steven Long. Nancy is survived by her daughter, Anne Toomey and her husband Floyd; her son, Steve Persolio and his wife Terry; five grandchildren, Cory Murray, Alyssa Murray, Remi Devine, Tia Persolio and Kiley Persolio; her brother, Marvin Long and his wife Jane; and her faithful cat Jasper.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 19, 2015 at 11:00 am at the Frankford Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 43 Thatcher St, Frankford, DE 19945, where friends may call after 10:30 am. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Nancy's memory to, Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
