Garden City - Sharon Kay Mitchell, 46, died Wed. Jan. 12, in her home at Garden City. She was born March 24, 1947, at Russell, the daughter Walter and Rachel (Keil) Michaelis. She married Stanley T. Mitchell on Aug. 14, 1965, at Russell. A graduate of Russell High School, she lived in Harper for a few years. She lived in Gt. Bend for 15 years before moving to Kingman, where she lived for 3 years, then in Garden City for 3 months. Mrs. Mitchell was a homemaker and worked as a waitress for many years. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene at Gt. Bend.
She is survived by her husband, of the home; three sons, Alan, Houston, TX; Brian, Gt. Bend; and Darin, Alva, OK; four brothers, (only lists 3) Vennard Michaelis, Russell; Don Michaelis, Phoeniz, AZ; and Larry Michaelis, Lyons; four sisters, Deloris Hanhardt, Bison; Elaine Paulson, Salina; Shirley Roth, LaSalle, CO; and Pat Dumler, Greeley, CO; and two grandchildren.
Funeral Jan. 17 at Pohlman's Memorial Chapel at Russell with Rev. Quinton Moore, Rev. Clair Duew and Rev. Joe Atherton officiating. Burial in the Russell City Cemetery.
