He was born in Mannheim, Germany, and moved to Salem in 1968 from Corvallis.
He had worked for Hammond Stage Lines, Polk County Assessors Office and Salem Area Transit. His wife, Isabelle, is deceased.
Survivors include his brothers, Richard of Beaverton; sister, Carol Ivey of Tigard, ....
two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Entombment will be in Mountain View Garden Mausoleum in City View Cemetery.
