A former Greenfield man died Friday night in a single-car automobile accident in Wilmington, Vt. Wilmington police said Raymond A. Jackman, 28, of Wilmington was killed when he was thrown from his car after it overturned on Higley Hill Road in Wilmington. Police said Jackman was traveling west on the road when the car left the road and rolled over. Jackman was pinned underneath the car, police said. Born in Springfield, he worked for G.S. Precision Co. in Wilmington as an inspector. He leaves his wife, the former Lori Beth Broadhurst, a son, Raymond A. Jr., at home; two daughters, Mandy Lee of Greenfield and Heidi Dee, at home; his mother, Elizabeth (Sommer) Jackman Franck of Ludlow; a brother, Francis E. of South Deerfield, and his grandmother, Bertha Jackman of Westfield. The funeral Will be Tuesday morning at the McCarthy Funeral Home with burial in West Cemetery, Rowe.
