Hortense - Doyle Lanier Aldridge, 61, of Hortense passed away Monday morning (February 20, 2024) at his residence after a brief illness.


Born in Blackshear, GA his parents are Lenore Jenkins Aldridge of Hortense and the late Isaac Felton Aldridge. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Stephanie Domini Aldridge; and a brother, Isaac Clyde Aldridge.


Doyle was a carpenter for Wells Cargo and attended New Hope Advent Christian Church. He was a collector of many things and loved the outdoors, fishing, and raising chickens


Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Chad Aldridge (Kelly) of Tifton; 2 daughters, Amber Aldridge and Tess Bell; 3 grandchildren, Vivienne Aldridge, James Aldridge and Autumn Cady; several other grandchildren; his mother, Lenore Aldridge of Hortense; a brother, Mat Aldridge of Waycross; and also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.


Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Monday afternoon (February 26, 2024) starting at 1pm at Thomas Cemetery.


A graveside service will be held Monday afternoon (February 26, 2024) at 2pm at Thomas Cemetery with Rev. Terry Jackson officiating.


Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
