Samuel & Mary had 12 known children:
Elizabeth, Peter, Abel, Sarah, Mary, Jonathon, Eunice, Hannah, Reuben, James, Silas, & Agnes Garber.

Mrs. Mary Garber, of Gibsons Station, died on the 18th. She was born in Washington county, Pa., in the year 1808. With her husband she came to this county in1885. She was the mother of twelve children, two of whom are living. For a period of forty-seven years, she was a member of the Salem Baptist church. Her pastor Rev. G. A. Woofter conducted the funeral services.
