Willard Wilfred Bolchoz, 69 of James Island, SC., entered into eternal rest on the evening of May 16, 2001 at his home. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Willard Wilfred Bolchoz are invited to attend the funeral services of the former in St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, Saturday, May 19, 2001 at 11o'clock. Interment: Bethany Cemetery. Friends may call at J. HENRY STUHR, INC.DOWNTOWN CHAPEL, Friday evening between 5 and 7:30 o'clock. Born inCharleston, September 28, 1931, he was the son of the late Theodore R. Bolchoz and Mamie Heissenbuttle Bolchoz. Mr. Bolchoz was a graduate of Bishop England High School, he was the winner of the Horace Heidt Talent TV and Radio Show and traveled on the Horace Heidt Traveling U.S.A. TV Show and played on the Peoples Choice Show. He attended the Citadel and University of South Carolina on a music scholarship. He served in the US Marine Corp in the Korean War and a member of the US Marine Band and Special Entertainment Services performing for the troops. He was a life member of the Federations of Musicians and the VFW Post No.03142. Mr.Bolchoz was a member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church.He is survived by his wife Rose Martens Bolchoz and four children, Brad Bolchoz, BrendaClarey, Beth Ann, all of Charleston, SC and Barbara Pettus of Princeton, West Virginia, twelve grandchildren: Marten Bolchoz, Ryan Bolchoz, Rosa Clarey, Christin Clarey, Joseph Clarey, Joshua Clarey, Chris Costa, Mandy Costa, Caleb Costa,Jamie Costa, Sarah Pettus, and Megan Pettus.He is also survived by his two sisters, Juanita White and Ronnie Daniels and a half sister, Delores Kennerty.
