Earl Lee Smith of Soddy Daisy died Sunday, January 30, 2000, in a local hospital. He was 65.
Mr. Smith was employed as an air conditioning installer and was a Baptist.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Annie Smith; four brothers, Cecil, Paul, Arnold and Ernest Smith; and two sisters, Arvazine Weatherholt and Thelma Helton.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Smith, Soddy Daisy; two daughters, Gail Sims, East Ridge and Judy of Dalton, Ga.; two sons, Tony Smith, Fort Oglethorpe, Ga., and Rick Smith, Chattanooga; four sisters, Pearl Woody, Chattanooga, Bobby Woody, Hixson, Mildred Hamby and Betty Miller, both of Soddy Daisy; brother, J.C. Smith, Soddy Daisy; 10 grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be Wednesday at 1pm in Smith Cemetery with the Rev. Ted Painter officiating.
Visitation will be today from 11am until 12:30pm at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home, Soddy Daisy.
