Nora Springs, IA October 13, Funeral services for Jane Patterson Adams were held at Martin Funeral Parlor and Internment was at Rock Grove Cemetery. She was approaching her ninetieth birthday when taken by death, having been born on March 26, 1834

From Ohio she moved with her parents to Pennsylvania. Then in 1860 she was married to Alvin Adams. One year later they immigrated to Floyd County, Iowa. They made their long journey by covered wagon and for many years after made their home on a farm near Rock Grove. Her husband passed away in 1878 leaving her with several small children to care for. Fourteen years ago she left to make her home in Onawa with her son Dayton Adams. Mrs. Adams is survived by six children, Dayton and Elmer of Onawa, IA Mrs. Mary J Bunny of Puyallup, WA, Mrs Vern Davis of Janesville, IA , Milton Adams of Twin Valley, MN and Rolla Adams of Little Cedar, IA.
Mrs Adams was a member of the Methodist Church at Nora Springs and a faithful and active worker. The funeral was held from the funeral parlors at the JH Martin Funeral Home in Nora Springs and Internment at Rock Grove Cemetery.
