Richard J. Rush, 70, of Kokomo, died at 6:50 p.m. Wednesday, July 29, 2009, at his residence.
He was born in Kokomo, Indiana to the late Clarence and Mildred Mosier Rush. On Dec. 14, 1963, he married Amelia "Emmy" Solari, who survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Rose Marie Rush, and a son, Anthony James Rush (wife: Dawn), both of Kokomo; three sisters, Anne Kelly of South Carolina, Marylyn Nesbitt of Oxford and Donna Cook of Florida; a brother, John Rush of Florida; a grandson, Parker Rush and a granddaughter, Sophia Rush. He was preceded in death by a sister, Doris Freestone and a brother, Tom Rush.
He served in the U.S. Army as an MP and dog handler.
