Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Lockart and Sons Funeral Home, Cowden, with visitation from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. Masonic services will be performed at 9 p.m. Tuesday by Joppa Lodge #703 of Cowden. Burial will be in Mound Cemetery, Cowden. Memorials may be made to Shelby Memorial Hospital.
He was born March 7, 1929, in Fayette County, the son of Melvin Andrew and Goldie Rebecca Smith Miller. He married Martha C. Logsdon June 14, 1953, in Springfield.
Surviving are his wife; one son, Bruce Edward Miller of Henton; daughters, Linda Marie Thompson of Shelbyville, Susan Irene Phillips of Harcourt, Iowa; Sharon Kay Rohdemann of Shelbyville and Julie Ann Smith of Cowden; brothers, Donald Eugene Miller of Woodland, Wash. and James Lee Miller of Shelbyville; sisters, Ruby Ida Nohren of Lakewood and Judi Irene Denton of Assumption; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Mr. Miller retired from C.F. Industries in Cowden in 1993. He was a lifetime member of Joppa Lodge #703 of Cowden and a member of the Christ Tabernacle Church of Herrick.
