There are no specific birth and death dates for James Stout and his wife Elizabeth. James was probably born in the late 1650s, not 1648 as assigned by most genealogists. Evidence does suggest that Elizabeth was probably somewhat younger than her husband, as indicated by the time period in which their children were born. Some researchers have tried to make Elizabeth the daughter of Abraham Truax, but he lived in Fort Orange (Schnectady, NY) and there is absolutely no proof of such a claim. It is a complete grasping at straws.
