SUSANNA COOKE-FITZHUGH was born on 07 December 1695, and she was the daughter of Mordecai Cooke and (Unknown). Mordecai was named as a member of the House of Burgesses, Gloucester County, Virginia in 1714.

Susanna Cooke married Henry Fitzhugh on 24 February 1718 in Stafford County, Virginia. Susanna & Henry had SEVEN children (that are known of):

Henry Fitzhugh (1723-1783),
Thomas Fitzhugh (1725-1768),
John fitzhugh (1727-1809),
William Fitzhugh (1729-1785),
Sarah Anne Fitzhugh (1729-?, twin of William),
Susanna Fitzhugh-Thornton (1732-1795), and
Elizabeth Fitzhugh (1736-?).

Susanna passed away on 21 November 1749 in Stafford County, Virginia, she was originally buried at a cemetery on her Father-in-Law, William Fitzhugh's, plantation estate, "Bedford," which was later relocated to St. Paul's Episcopal Church Cemetery, King George County, Virginia.
