Leonard G. Wiessinger, 79, retired farmer, died at his home at 307 Highland avenue this morning at 1:15 o'clock following a six months' illness of complications.
The funeral services are to be conducted Friday afternoon 2:30 o'clock from the St. Jacob's Lutheran church in Anna, of which he was a lifelong, faithful member as long as his health permitted.
Rev. F.J. Mittermaier will be in charge of the services and burial will be made in the Pearl cemetery at Swanders.
Friends may call at the Wiessinger home Thursday evening and until the time of the funeral on Friday.
He was born March 21, 1862, in Sidney, the son of Conrad and Elizabeth Wiessinger. He was united in marriage to Miss Salome Wilt in August 1888, and she preceded him in death. On April 16, 1912, he was united in marriage to Mrs. Anna Allinger, and she is left to mourn his passing with the following children:
William Wiessinger, of Anna; Mrs. Frank Maxson, of Conover; Mrs. Cleo Sargeant, of R. R. 5, Sidney; Mrs, John Wills, of Tipp City.
The surviving brother and sister are George Wiessinger, of Sidney, and Mrs..Philip Elsass, of Wapakoneta. Three sisters preceded him in death.
His step children include Mrs. Rosetta Findly, of Branchville, Ind.; Mrs. Catherine Wilt, of Sidney; Mrs. Roy Wilt, of Montra; Henry Allinger, of Sulfer, Indiana; Miss Emma Allinger, of Sidney; Charles Allinger, of Montra, and Mrs. William Brautigam, of Sidney. One grandson, Paul Gross, has made his home with the Wiessinger's all his life.
There are 25 surviving grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
