Aged Resident Called By Death At Kingsville
One of the oldest residents of Ashtabula county passed away at 5 a. m. Sunday when Mrs. Elizabeth Rugg Tanner died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Sarah Shaw in Kingsville.
Death followed an illness of about 12 weeks.
The deceased was born at Kingsville, December 16, 1832, the daughter of Mrs. and Mrs. Miles Newton. She was married to Samuel S. Rugg, July 7, 1852, and to them were born 11 children, eight of whom survive. They are:
Mrs. Nettie Shears, Ocsigoo [sic, Otsego?], Mich.; Mrs. Ellen M. Merriman, Kingsville; Mrs. Sarah Shaw, Kingsville; Mrs. Chloa A. Johnson, Ashtabula; Mrs. Dency J. Terrill, Ashtabula; Harlow E. Rugg, Ashtabula; Joe M. Rugg, Kingsville and Samuel S. Rugg, Ashtabula.
The deceased was married to Steven Tanner of Dorset in September, 1884, and for the past seven years had lived with her devoted son, Joe Rugg, of Kingsville. She was a faithful Christian and loving mother.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p. m. Tuesday, June 26 at the home of Mrs. Shaw in Kingsville.

LAST RITES HELD FOR MRS. ELIZABETH TANNER
Funeral series for Mrs. Elizabeth Rugg Tanner were held at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Sarah Shaw of Kingsville Tuesday afternoon.
Rev. Ernest R. Finch of the First Baptist church of Ashtabula assisted by Rev. Grady of the Kingsville Baptist church and Rev. Gray of the Kingsville Methodist church, conducted the services.
Several beautiful hymns were sung by Rev. and Mrs. Gray.
The body was carried to its resting place in Gageville cemetery by the grandsons.
Among those who attended from Ashtabula were Mr. and Mrs. Frank Luce, Mrs. Harry Kerr, Mrs. Plin Lovejoy, Mrs. Charles Gerred, Mrs. Ernest R. Finch and George Smith.
