Obit Services for Mrs. Mary (Mamie) Mitts of 614 W. Carpenter St. will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Ellinger & Kunz Funeral Home. Rev. Donald J. Finley will officiate and burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
Mrs. Mitts, 86, died at 8:40 p.m. Saturday at Ramshow Nursing Home.
She was born in Sangamon County, daughter of Nathaniel Herndon and Mary Ann Dunlap.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Granddaughter of William Henry Herndon, Abraham Lincoln's friend, law partner and biographer.
