GEORGE WORK, the celebrated wing shot, and a son of Frank Work, the noted horseman and road driver, died at Davos Platz, Switzerland, from consumption, Feb. 25. He had gone to Europe in quest of renewed health. Mrs. Burke Roche and her eldest sister, Mrs. Peter Cooper Hewitt, were with their brother when he died. He was born in this city, Sept. 8, 1858, and was a devoted sportsman, his chief fondness being for pigeon shooting, at which he was an expert and the winner of many prizes in amateur contests. His body will be brought here for interment.
