August F. Hoelscher of Lott died at 7:55 p.m. Monday in a local hospital. He was father of Mrs. Eddie Miller of 2728 Herring Avenue.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Westphalia Church of the Visitation, Msgr. Robert Schritez officiating, burial in the church cemetery.
Rosary will be at 8 p.m. Tuesday at Nichols Funeral Chapel in Rosebud.
Mr. Hoelscher was a retired farmer. He was born in Lott and had lived in Central Texas all his life. He had been in the hospital for two weeks and had been in ill health for about four years.
Survivors are his widow; six daughters, Mrs. Mike Glatter and Mrs. Willie Berger, both of West, Mrs. J. C. Moeller and Miss Elsie Hoelscher, both of Lott, Mrs. Miller of Waco and Mrs. Bill Cypert of Houston; two sons, Robert Hoelscher of Lott and Otto Hoelscher of 1821 Circle Drive; two brothers, Mike Hoelscher of Travis and Leo Hoelscher of Lott; a sister, Mrs. Charlie Jetter of Rosebud; and 19 grandchildren.
Another son, Leander Hoelscher, was killed in action in the battle of Okinawa in 1915.
