Nicole was born on Thursday December 9th, 1976. After what seemed to be a uneventful pregnancy and a short labor. Unfortunately the OBGYN that was supposed to deliver her let an intern deliver her instead. The intern didn't recognize that Nicole had aspirated before the delivery. No tests were performed to determine if this had happened. Her death could have been avoided by a simple test. Nicole struggled to live for two days finally loosing the fight 49 hours after her birth and succumbing to pneumonia. She was baptized by Fr. John Birkenhauer prior to her death. She is survived by her mother, Eileen Campagne,brother Dennis M. Stanley, sisters Amanda Nicole Stanley, Marisa Noelle Campagne, and Meghan Marie Campagne.
