Marie as she was known to those who knew and loved her, was born at home in Wilmington DE on October 1, 1932. The daughter of immigrants she attended St. Thomas's Catholic Grade School and Ursuline Academy. (Class of 1950) She was employed by both the DuPont Company and the Wilmington Trust Co. where she worked from 1976 to prior to her death from Breast Cancer in 1991. She was married to Donald E. McCabe in 1953 and later divorced him in 1983. She attended St. John the Beloved Church and was active in the church carnival and bingo. She taught the first gym classes at St. John the Beloved Elementary School. She was an avid Phillies and Notre Dame fan and seamstress.
She was preceded in death by her parents Francis A. and Dorothy I. Persolio and a grand-daughter Nicole Marie Stanley. She is survived by her daughters, Donna M. Schwartz, Eileen D. Campagne and Michele M. Myers. and grandchildren, Dennis M. Stanley, Amanda N. Stanley, Jill C. Schwartz, Lisa M. Schwartz, Kerri L. Myers, Louis C. Schwartz, Matthew C. Myers, Jeffery R. Myers, Caitlin M. Myers, Marisa N. Campagne, Meghan M. Campagne, Jessica M. Myers, Justin Bliss and a great-grandsons Gabriel Francis Clark, Dorian Robert Gardner, Logan and Theodore Voyton and .
