Francis Aloysius Persolio was born September 7, 1905 to Italian immigrants Domenico and Teresa (Ricci) Persoglio. The family name was "Americanized" to Persolio. Known in the neighborhood in Little Italy as "Slim" he was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church, The Sons of Italy, and The Athletic Association of St. Anthony's. He later was a member of St. Elizabeth's RC Church, after moving to Cleland Heights. He was a little league coach for many years. By trade he was a printer and worked for the Star Color Press who printed Classic Illustrated Comic Books. Married Dorothea I. Cook and had two children, Conrad Francis Persolio (1931 -1995) and Anna Maria Persolio McCabe (1932 - 1991). He is survived by his 5 grandchildren and their families. Donna Maria McCabe Schwartz, Eileen Dorothea McCabe Campagne, Anne Persolio Murray, Michele Marie McCabe Myers, and Steven Francis Persolio. He is also survived by his Great - Grandchildren as follows Dennis Michael Stanley, Amanda Nicole Stanley, Jill Christine Schwartz, Lisa Marie Schwartz, Kerri Lyne Myers, Corey Murray, Louis Charles Schwartz, Matthew Christopher Myers, Jeffery Robert Myers, Caitlin Marie Myers, Alyssa Murray, Marisa Noelle Campagne, Meghan Marie Campagne, Jessica Michele Myers, Tia Persolio, and Baby Girl Persolio. Francis was preceded in death by his parents, Dominic and Teresa, his brother James, sisters Rosa, Maria, Catherine, and Josephine Penna. And a Great-Grand-Daughter Nicole Marie Stanley.
