Conrad came to this country with his wife Annie and daughter Doreen in 1915 on the ship "New York" from Liverpool England arrived October 7, 1915. Born while his family was on sabatical in Germany, when his mother attended her father's funeral, he does not appear on the UK census data until 1891. Mr. Cook (Koch) was forced to serve his "conscription" with the German army prior to WWI, at the beginning of the war he again was sought by the Germans to serve. He refused and was interred in a concentration camp. He escaped and made his way back to his family in Middleboro England and they immediately departed for the United States. The family settled in Dundalk Maryland and lived there for many years. Conrad was a draughtsman for Pusey & Jones of Wilmington DE.
