She was a native of Washington, GA but had lived most of her life in Waycross. She was daughter of the late John Earl Hansford and Lucy King Lowe Hansford.
She was retired secretary with First National Bank and was a member of First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two nephews, Bill Strickland of Athens and John Strickland of Pinon Hills, CA.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday (April 16, 2011) at Music Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Saturday from 1 until 2.
