Jean Isaacson, 80, of Drammen Township was born in Drammen June 27, 1930, the daughter of Willard and Marian (Dutter) Jackson. She attended Sheldon Valley School, Mondovi High School, and Eau Claire Vocational School. She worked at Thorp Finance Company in Eau Claire, and then in Madison at the Wisconsin General Hospital doing office work and then, as a secretary at Rural Mutual Insurance Company home office. She also worked nights as a waitress at Rennebohm's drug store. On New Years, December 31, 1949, she married a neighbor, Gordon Isaacson, at the Mondovi Methodist Church. They lived on the Madison East Side, South Leeds, and Morrisonville while he sawed lumber in the area. In 1959, they moved back to Pine Knoll Farm, which her great-grandparents had purchased in the late 1800's, and they raised beef cattle and Gordon sawed lumber around the state. Jean was active in civic projects while in Morrisonville, and also later while on the farm. Working for God and Country to elect statesmen rather than politicians, less government, and better education; contributing time and money. She held Good News Club (Child Evangelism) in her home. Her goals were to be a positive influence for the Lord in her community, to be an encouragement to those who were suffering and always to learn. She was a correspondent for about 40 years writing the Drammen News for the Mondovi Herald-News. She also helped with Nursing Home ministries in Mondovi and Eau Claire. In addition, she also helped with Sunday worship services for female inmates at the Eau Claire County Jail.
She is survived by her husband, Gordon; sons, George (Debra) Isaacson of rural Eleva, Randolph (Theresa) Isaacson of Mondovi, and Douglas (Kim) Isaacson of Missoula, Montana; grandchildren, Jonathon, Joshua, and Jeremiah Isaacson, Rebekah Berry, Rachel Heinson, Bridget Bender, and Marley Isaacson, Alan Kite; great-grandchildren, Andrew, Tyler, Aiden Isaacson and Alex Berry, Gage, Brooklynn, and Noah Heinson, Everett and Kiptyn Bender
