A Ledger kept by Lucia (Banks) Sibley about the Sibley Family states Elias Sibley and wife Ruth came to Michigan in 1834, and settled on a new farm in Bloomfield Twp, possibly the one where the twin brothers Freeman & Seaman lived & died. It is remarkable that the two brothers lived on the same farm, worked the land, each in his own house & raised their families in peace & harmony till 1857, when Seaman died. Both are buried in Bloomfield Center Cemetary near the Bloomfield Golf Club.
